Emily Murphy, was born into the ferguson family in innisfil, Ontario in the year of 1868, on March 14th. emily was the 3rd child of 6. she grew up with her father Issac, her Uncle, her grandfather, and all 5 of her brothers. her entire family was highly involved in politics meaning Murphy grew up with a good knowledge and curiosity for that subject.
Emily lived with her husand Arthur, how was a Anglican minister and her 2 daughters Kathleen, and Evelyn. Emily Also had 2 other daughters Madeline, and Doris but Doris had died at age 10 becuase she was diagnosed with Diptheria. madeline was born premature, and died at nine months old. Emily had married Arthur at age 19, Being the women in the marriage she had changed her last hame from ferguson to Murphy. And like most women when they get married she mad her madden name her middle name, making her whole name Emily Ferguson Murphy.
